Mission We
will identify and promote public knowledge, experience and understanding of the best of the historical background and cultures
of the Brazos and Canadian Rivers in western Texas and western, including the prevalent Native American, farm and ranch, and
religious cultures, by visual display theatrical and literary means.

The old rock
gym was falling down at one point. Thanks to a concerned citizen and some tender loving care, today it is completely
refurbished and used in the community much like it was in 1935 when it was built. It
started out just being used for games, then reunions, then proms and eventually a full scale theater production of Her Eyes
Were Blue; a production based on the true story of Cynthia Ann Parker, mother of Quanah Parker for which a local town is named. Soon it
was evident the community needed this old gym more than the owner and it was donated to begin the non-profit organization,
Pease River Productions. |
